Russell Bryant is Technical Director for OpenStack at Red Hat.  Russell has been working on OpenStack since late 2011. He has primarily worked in the areas of Compute and Networking. Russell served as the Project Technical Lead for Nova (Compute) for two releases. He also helped build the Open Virtual Network (OVN) project and is an Open vSwitch project committer. He has also been elected to the OpenStack Technical Committee and Foundation Board of Directors.

Prior to working for Red Hat, Russell spent a number of years as the project lead for the Asterisk open source telephony project and has co-authored some books on the subject.
